Today’s Rant: Last Rant

This is my last rant. To sum up my rant blog I’m going to put almost everything I’ve ranted about in one rant: I feel like the root of all my rants begin with me being broke. I think my financial status makes me angry, which leads to ranting. For example, if I wasn’t broke I could afford to eat out more, clean my car more often, or even buy a new car. I’m not sure if I have ever ranted about my car but I hate it. It’s great because it’s cheap on gas but it’s slow, and if I wasn’t broke gas money wouldn’t be an issue. With money I could get a new car that is fast and won’t leave me stuck in traffic. It would also make driving more exciting. Weirdly enough if I wasn’t broke I think it would also solve the issue of bad…

No Gym No Problem!

Don’t have the money to make a private gym, or yet belong to a gym? Don’t worry about that there are some options for you!

  1. Get barbells and weights! They do not have to be the expensive kind but it is always good to have some laying around. It’s convenient and you can get a good quality workout in.
  2. Get a bench – this heightens your training options immensely! Look for something that can go from 0 degrees to 90 degrees. Again, be guided by your budget.
  3. Time to get some dumbbells. They are cheap and simple. Depending on your budget and how much you lift will determine how much you spend. But overall, they are fairly in a decent and affordable price range.
  4. Get some Bands – this will help with explosiveness!

Dogs at Bars

Positively Kristen

If I had a dog with me in Tampa I would be the happiest person ever, but I wouldn’t want to take him to bars with me because then everyone would flock around him and want to pet him. I am confident in saying this because I am that crazy girl swooning over other people’s dogs at the bar.

Shout out to all those people that don’t mind the attention their dogs bring because seeing dogs while I’m out at a bar is probably the best thing ever, drunk or sober.

The whole “bring your dog to the bar” trend is popular on Sundays, especially on Soho in Tampa. If I could, I would probably play with other people’s dogs all day. We don’t deserve dogs. They have the ability to love anyone unconditionally and all they want are belly rubs and sweet talk in return.

There is nothing better than…

It’s Been Real

Pretending To Know What I'm Doing

So here we are, three months later and finally submitting my final blog post. It’s been fun, really it has. However, I can’t say that I’ll miss it. As stated in last blog post, I’ve been running dry on material and topics to discuss and it’s really taken a toll on my mental and physical health. (Ok, maybe that’s an exaggeration but it’s been tough.) Anyway, what I think I learned most from this experience is that blogging is hard, blogging about yourself is even harder, and more than anything I have learned that I really am just pretending to know what I’m doing.

Throughout this experience I’ve only gotten lucky that such strange and bizarre happenstances keep occurring in my life and I’ve been so fortunate to be bumbling through life unable to properly tip the waitstaff at a restaurant, otherwise I would have nothing to write about 3…

Playoff Picture Finally Set

Jeanine's Site

The 2016-17 NHL regular season has officially ended, which means we are finally in playoffs. After an interesting regular season, there are some new faces in the playoff picture this year, and some new match ups. The first round will go as follows.

Chicago Blackhawks vs. Nashville Predators

Minnesota Wild vs. St. Louis Blues

Anaheim Ducks vs. Calgary Flames

Edmonton Oilers vs. San Jose Sharks

Montreal Canadiens vs. New York Rangers

Ottawa Senators vs. Boston Bruins

Washington Capitals vs. Toronto Maple Leafs

Pittsburgh Penguins vs. Columbus Blue Jackets

The teams in bold are obviously the teams that I think will move onto the next round. Of course the Pittsburgh Penguins are a team that no matter what, I have to root for, but teams like the Capitals and Blackhawks should breeze through the first round.

The long shot for me will be the Edmonton-San Jose series and the Montreal-New York…

The End

Inhale, Exhale and Other Yogi Things

So if you haven’t yet noticed, this blog that I created a few months ago is actually a mandatory classroom assignment for my writing for interactive media class. Three days out of the week, we were asked to write a blog post on a blog with one focused topic of our choosing. My topic is obviously yoga and mindfullness and my journey into exploring and understanding how these two things can have a place in my life when I don’t even know where I fit in in my life haha. However, as the semester comes to an end, today is the official last day of mandatory posting. Today is the end.

The end of finally creating the blog that I’ve always wanted, but by force. The end of trying to cram a complete thought into 10 minutes of classroom time. The end of  ignoring the edits, erasing some potential thoughtfulness and…
