First things first not all carbs are created equal. Carbs are the main source for energy to your brain and muscles. BUT…BUT…like always there are some good and some bad ones. Choosing different carbs can give you all different results. For example, it can lead to increase in energy, or decrease in hungry, and good health.
Cereals with a lot of sugars, white rice, white bread, candies, white pastas ALL TASTE GREAT and are carbs. But there are smarter decisions such as whole grain breads, sweet potatoes, fruits, veggies, or brown rice (didn’t list off of them).
Whole grains and fruits deliver an ever so powerful one-two punch to your body. Great nutrition and slow digesting. They give you high energy and keep your appetite in check. The good guy carbs are also known as “complex carbs.”
